Mary Lane is an artist and art historian.  A founding member and the Educational Director of the Scheuer Tapestry Studio in New York City, her tapestries have been exhibited internationally and collected by major corporate and public art collections.  Lane's teaching positions include Parsons School of Design, the University of Maine at Orono and The Evergreen State College.  Her writing on contemporary and historical textiles has been been published internationally.
